Collection: Mega Symphonia

About this collection

About Mega Symphonia (Japanese)

Mega Symphonia is a Japanese set built around the return of Mega Evolution to the Pokemon TCG, leaning into a cohesive cast of fan favourite Mega forms across multiple types. As a Japanese print, the cards land before the equivalent English release window, which makes this set the first place collectors can chase the new Mega Evolution artwork in its original form. Expect a tighter pull rate on chase cards than larger main sets, with several illustrators contributing the centrepiece artwork.

Japanese prints are popular with collectors for a few practical reasons: centring tends to be tighter out of pack, the card stock is a touch glossier, and Japanese sets often include SAR and AR variants that never see an English release. If you grade or sleeve singles seriously, these are usually the prints you want.

Chase cards in this set

The headline pulls are the Mega EX cards, with Mega Latias EX 049/063 (JP) and Mega Manectric EX 032/063 (JP) sitting near the top of most want lists, alongside Mega Abomasnow EX 018/063 (JP) for type collectors. Beyond the Megas, the secret rare slots above 063 are where the Special Art Rares live, including pieces like Shedinja 072/063 (JP) and Inteleon 069/063 (JP) that have quickly become favourites in the community.

Rarity tiers and what to expect

You will find Double Rare (the standard EX cards), Art Rare (full art illustration treatments), Special Art Rare (the alternate scene SARs numbered above the set total), and Super Rare finishes throughout the run. Every single is checked and graded as mint or better before listing, sleeved and toploaded for dispatch, and posted with tracked Australia Post shipping from our Brisbane base.
