What Mega Attack Rare actually is

Mega Attack Rare is a rarity classification introduced with the return of Mega Evolution to the Pokemon TCG in the Mega Evolution era (Scarlet and Violet block, late 2025 into 2026). These cards sit above standard EX prints and showcase a Mega Evolved Pokemon mid-attack, with dynamic artwork that bleeds across the full card face. Collectors recognise them by their alternate-art treatment and the way the Mega form breaks out of the traditional card frame.

This collection pulls Mega Attack Rares from across multiple Japanese sets into one place, so you can track the chase cards by rarity rather than hunting set by set.

Japanese print notes

Every card in this collection is a Japanese print. Compared to the English release, Japanese stock tends to have tighter centring, a glossier finish, and slightly richer colour saturation on the holo layer. Japanese sets also receive SAR and AR variants that never make it into the English print run, so collectors organise their binders around Japanese pulls when they want the complete rarity ladder. Current standouts include Mega Diancie EX 267/217, Mega Dragonite EX 232/193 (JP), and Mega Hawlucha EX 229/193 (JP), with Mega Scrafty EX and Mega Eelektross EX rounding out the early lineup.

Condition and shipping

Singles are graded mint or better before listing, sleeved on pull, and shipped in toploaders. We post Australia-wide tracked from our Brisbane base, usually next business day after order.
