Pokemon BREAK Cards from the XY Era

BREAK cards arrived during the XY era (2015 to 2016) and introduced a mechanic collectors still recognise today: stack a BREAK card on top of its evolution to keep the previous attacks while gaining a new ability. The horizontal layout, gold borders and textured foil set them apart from any other Pokemon card design before or since, which is why this short-lived mechanic remains a favourite among long-time TCG collectors.
