VSTAR Universe is the Japanese high-class set released in December 2022, sitting as the final chapter of the Sword and Shield era in Japan. It functions as a celebration set, pulling together cards, characters, and artwork themes from across the entire VSTAR and V era into one 172-card centrepiece. For collectors who favour the Japanese print run, it remains one of the most popular sets to chase, both for its art rares and for the recognisable Pokemon and Trainers featured throughout.

What you can pull

The base of the set is filled with Holo and Reverse Holo commons and uncommons, including cards like Zapdos Holo 073/172, Bibarel Holo 122/172, and Miltank Holo 119/172. Stepping up, you will find V cards such as Zamazenta V 103/172 and Regigigas V 124/172, alongside Triple Rare VSTAR cards like Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR 028/172. The chase tier includes Special Art Rare (SAR) and Art Rare (AR) Trainer cards, including Roxanne Reverse Holo 157/172 and Elesa's Sparkle Reverse Holo 150/172, plus tools like Sky Seal Stone 146/172 and Dark Patch Reverse Holo 135/172. Many of these SAR and AR Trainers were never printed in the English run, which is part of why collectors organise around the Japanese version.
