Starmie BREAK is a card from the XY era Evolutions set, numbered 32/108. Evolutions was a celebratory release that revisited the look of the original Base Set within XY mechanics, and it carried the BREAK cards that were a signature feature of this period.
This card is a Rare BREAK, the special rarity tied to the BREAK Evolution mechanic. BREAK cards are printed in a distinctive gold, horizontal layout and evolve from a partner Pokemon, building on its attacks while keeping its hit points. The unusual sideways orientation and metallic finish make BREAK cards instantly recognisable and a favourite niche for collectors of the XY era.
Starmie is a long standing Pokemon from the first generation, and seeing it given the BREAK treatment in the Evolutions set adds extra character for collectors. It suits anyone completing the Evolutions run or gathering the full line of Rare BREAK cards.
