Sandy Shocks EX 250/182 comes from Paradox Rift, an English set in the Scarlet and Violet series built around the ancient and future Paradox Pokemon. Sandy Shocks is one of the future Paradox forms introduced in the Paldea region, and Paradox Rift was the set that placed these designs front and centre.
This is the Special Illustration Rare version, an EX card. The EX label marks it as a powerful single Pokemon that can be worth two prize cards when knocked out in play. The Special Illustration Rare treatment is one of the most collected styles of the era, presenting the Pokemon in a detailed full scene artwork that fills the entire card.
The number 250/182 places the first figure above the set total of 182, confirming this as a secret rare sitting beyond the main numbered list. The combination of the EX card type, the expansive Special Illustration Rare artwork and the novelty of the Paradox forms makes Sandy Shocks EX a favourite among Paradox Rift collectors.
