Rugged Helmet is a Trainer card from Chilling Reign, the Sword and Shield era set. It is an Item rather than a Pokemon, so what draws collectors here is the print treatment rather than a creature on the front.
This version carries the Gold finish, the metallic gold border and lettering used for the very top of a set's secret rare run. The number 228/198 makes the rarity clear: because the first number (228) is higher than the set total (198), the card sits beyond the numbered base set and is a secret rare. Gold Trainer cards are among the scarcer pulls in a set, which is why master set collectors keep them on their want lists.
For anyone who ran Rugged Helmet in a Chilling Reign era deck, the Gold secret rare is the premium way to own it. It keeps the recognisable effect while wearing the gold treatment that marks it as a chase card.
