Raichu 026/165 is a Master Ball foil from the Japanese Pokemon 151 set, a release built around the original 151 Pokemon in their National Pokedex order. As number 026, Raichu sits in its classic Kanto position, the evolved form of Pikachu and one of the most recognisable Electric types in the franchise.
The Master Ball foil is the chase variant of the Japanese 151 reverse holo treatment. Instead of a standard reverse holo pattern, the card carries a purple Master Ball stamp across the artwork, and these versions are printed far less often than the regular Poke Ball foils from the same set. That scarcity is what drives collectors to hunt them down.
For anyone building a Master Ball set or putting together a Raichu collection, this Japanese printing pairs the nostalgia of Pokemon 151 with one of the more sought after parallel foils in recent memory. Japanese cards are also a favourite among collectors for their print quality and crisp foiling.
