Quaquaval EX (043/190) is a Japanese release from Shiny Treasure EX, the set celebrated for its large collection of shiny Pokemon and full-art cards. Quaquaval is the final evolution of Quaxly, one of the three starter Pokemon from the Paldea region, and its dancer inspired design has made it a favourite for trainers who began their Paldea journey with the water bird.
This card is a Double Rare, the rarity used for EX Pokemon in modern Japanese sets. EX cards bring stronger attacks and higher stats than standard versions, offset by the rule that they hand the opponent an extra prize card when knocked out. Starter final evolutions like Quaquaval are always popular with collectors who like to assemble a full set of the regional trio.
Clean copies of Quaquaval EX appeal both to Paldea starter fans and to collectors working through one of the most sought after Japanese sets in recent years.
