Pikachu V comes from Vivid Voltage, a Sword and Shield era set best known for its Pikachu themed cards and the popular Amazing Rare subset. Pikachu is the most recognised Pokemon of them all, the long standing mascot of the franchise, so any special Pikachu card draws plenty of attention from collectors.
This is the 170/185 print, presented in the Full Art style. Full Art cards extend the artwork across the entire card with no standard border, giving the Pokemon a larger, more striking presentation. The V mechanic marks this as a powerful single Pokemon with high HP that gives up extra Prize cards when knocked out, a hallmark of the era's competitive cards.
Collectors look for the Full Art Pikachu V both as a centrepiece for a Vivid Voltage set and as a strong addition to any Pikachu focused collection. Few characters carry the lasting appeal that Pikachu does, which keeps cards like this in steady demand.
