Pidgeot EX (139/190) is a Japanese release from Shiny Treasure EX, the set famous for its deep run of shiny Pokemon and full-art cards. Pidgeot is a classic bird Pokemon from the original Kanto region, the final evolution of Pidgey, and its long history makes it a nostalgic favourite for collectors who go back to the earliest days of the hobby.
The card is a Double Rare, the rarity tier given to EX Pokemon in modern Japanese sets. EX cards offer higher stats and harder hitting attacks, balanced by the rule that they yield an extra prize card when knocked out. Pidgeot has also seen plenty of competitive play through its ability based versions over the years, which adds another layer of interest for collectors.
A clean Pidgeot EX is a strong pick for Kanto fans and for anyone working through this widely opened Japanese set.
