Moltres V comes from Brilliant Stars, a Sword and Shield era set best remembered for introducing the VSTAR mechanic and the popular Trainer Gallery subset. This Moltres is one of the legendary birds of the original games, a character that has stayed a collector favourite across many generations of cards.
This is the 183/172 print, and because the first number is higher than the set total of 172, it is a secret rare. It carries the Gold finish, the metallic treatment reserved for the secret rare slots at the very end of a set. Gold cards are among the scarcer pulls and are prized for their distinctive look.
The V mechanic marks this as a powerful single Pokemon with high HP that gives up extra Prize cards when knocked out. Between the legendary Moltres name, the Gold styling and its secret rare status, this card is a clear chase target for Brilliant Stars collectors.
