This is Maractus, card 160/159 from Journey Together. The card number sits above the set total, which marks it as one of the cards numbered beyond the main set, a hallmark of the special rares that collectors hunt towards the end of a set.
This is an Illustration Rare, a card type that puts the focus squarely on the artwork. Illustration Rares show the Pokemon in a full scene rather than the standard bordered portrait, often capturing it in a natural setting with plenty of background detail. The result is a card valued as much for its look as for the Pokemon it features, and the style has become a centrepiece of recent Scarlet and Violet era sets.
Maractus is a quirky, well recognised Pokemon, and an Illustration Rare gives it room to shine. Collectors who enjoy art driven cards or who are completing the Journey Together rare run will appreciate adding this one to the binder.
