This is Machamp, card number 068/165 from the Scarlet and Violet 151 set, the English release built around the original Kanto National Pokedex of 151 Pokemon. Machamp has been a familiar powerhouse since the first generation, and its return in the 151 set gives collectors a modern version of a Pokemon many recognise from their earliest days with the hobby.
This copy is the Holo version, with foil applied across the artwork itself rather than only the border. Holo cards from 151 are a favourite among collectors assembling a Kanto themed run, as the shine draws the eye to the illustration. As a single from this nostalgia led set, it fits comfortably into a set build or a binder page of original 151 Pokemon.
If you are completing the set in number order, or simply gathering the classic Pokemon you grew up with, Machamp is a worthwhile pickup.
