Lugia V 138/195 comes from Silver Tempest, the Sword and Shield era set that placed Lugia front and centre. Lugia is the Legendary Pokemon long associated with the second generation, and Silver Tempest leaned into that connection across its line of cards.
As a V card, this represents the entry tier of the V mechanic from this era, a single powerful Pokemon with strong attacks that can later evolve into a VSTAR or VMAX. V cards typically feature a half body artwork with a holofoil finish, giving them a clean, modern look that collectors enjoy.
Lugia carries a strong following thanks to its history in the games, films and earlier card sets, so a Lugia V from its flagship Silver Tempest appearance is a natural pick. Collectors look for this card to build a Lugia line-up, to complete the set, or to pair it with the other Lugia cards from the same expansion.
