Lapras GX 35/149 hails from the Sun and Moon era, the generation that introduced the GX mechanic to the Pokemon Trading Card Game. GX cards built on the earlier EX style with higher hit points and a single, dramatic GX attack that can only be used once per game, so timing that move well was a key part of play.
Lapras is a long standing fan favourite, the gentle transport Pokemon that has featured in the games and animation since the very first generation. Seeing it given the GX treatment made this card a friendly pick for collectors who grew up with the species.
The 35/149 number sits within the main set run, so this is a standard rarity GX rather than a secret rare. Collectors look for clean, mint copies to complete a Sun and Moon set or to anchor a Lapras themed collection.
