Ignition Energy 109/080 is a Japanese Trainer card, more specifically a Special Energy card, from the Inferno X set. As an Energy card it provides energy for attacks while often adding a secondary effect, which gives it a role in deck building rather than as a basic resource alone.
This is the Super Rare version, numbered 109/080. Because the first number is higher than the set total of 080, it sits beyond the standard numbered run and is printed in a smaller quantity. Super Rare Trainer and Energy cards from Japanese sets are presented with a polished holographic treatment that sets them apart from the common printing.
Collectors look for cards like this both for play and for the full set chase, since the higher numbered Super Rare slots are harder to complete. The Japanese print also appeals to those who prefer to collect cards in their original release before they reach English sets.
