Houndour comes from Prismatic Evolutions, an English Scarlet and Violet era expansion. This is the Poke Ball Pattern printing, numbered 062/131, one of the special reverse holo variants that collectors associate with the set.
The Poke Ball Pattern tag describes the finish: instead of a standard foil, the card carries a repeating Poke Ball design stamped across its surface. These pattern variants are printed alongside the regular versions of the same card and are a favourite chase for collectors who like to hunt the alternate finishes within a set.
Houndour is a well known Pokemon from the Johto region with a loyal following, and the Poke Ball Pattern version gives a familiar card an extra collectible twist. It is a good fit for anyone completing a Prismatic Evolutions set or building a binder focused on the special pattern cards, and it sits nicely next to the other Poke Ball variants from the same release.
