Hoopa GX 187/181 is a Pokemon GX card from Team Up, an expansion in the Sun and Moon era. GX cards were a defining mechanic of this period, offering a single powerful GX attack that could be used once per game and high HP that made them deck centrepieces.
This printing is the Rainbow Rare version, finished in the multicoloured foil that collectors recognise as one of the top tiers in a Sun and Moon set. The collector number 187 sits above the set total of 181, which marks it as a secret rare: a card numbered past the listed set size and added as a bonus chase card. Rainbow GX cards sit at the upper end of their expansions and are among the cards people open packs hoping to find.
Collectors look for the Hoopa GX Rainbow Rare to complete a Team Up secret rare run or to collect the rainbow GX cards as a group. Its full colour foil and Mythical Pokemon subject make it a strong choice for display.
