Greninja ex 198/167 is an Ultra Rare from Twilight Masquerade, an English Scarlet and Violet era expansion. The card number runs past the printed set total of 167, which places it within the chase cards numbered beyond the main set.
This is an ex card, the Scarlet and Violet era mechanic that followed on from the V and VMAX cards of the previous generation. ex Pokemon bring extra power to the board in exchange for awarding an additional prize when knocked out. As an Ultra Rare ex, Greninja is presented in the full art treatment, showing the Pokemon in a detailed artwork across the whole card. Greninja is a long standing fan favourite, which keeps its ex cards in steady demand.
Ultra Rare ex cards from Twilight Masquerade are popular both with players building current decks and with collectors who follow the full art line, making Greninja a card with wide appeal.
