Dugtrio 208/191 is an Illustration Rare from Surging Sparks, the Scarlet and Violet era set that gave the trio of burrowing mole heads one of its most characterful card treatments. Illustration Rares (often shortened to IR) sit above the standard rarities, and the format puts the artwork first, with Dugtrio shown in a full scene rather than the usual cropped box. The set symbol and the 208/191 number, which runs beyond the base set total of 191, mark this as one of the special illustration cards slotted in after the main numbered run.
Collectors look for the Surging Sparks Illustration Rares because the line up leans heavily on expressive, story driven art, and Dugtrio is a recognisable favourite from the early Kanto days. As an English print in Mint condition, it suits players building a complete IR set as well as anyone who simply enjoys the colour and detail packed into the frame.
