Decidueye V is a Sword and Shield Promo, carried under the SWSH black star promo numbering with the code SWSH238. Promos from this era were handed out through special products, collection boxes and events, which keeps them separate from the numbered cards found in the standard expansions.
This is a V card, the style introduced during the Sword and Shield era. V cards feature the V branding alongside a higher HP, and they follow the rule that an opponent claims two prize cards when the V Pokemon is knocked out. That trade off became a defining part of deck building throughout the Sword and Shield format.
Decidueye is a popular final stage Pokemon, and its V promo appeals to collectors chasing the Sword and Shield promo series as well as fans of the species. This is the English language printing, a tidy addition to a promo run or a themed collection.
