Chien-Pao ex 242/091 is a Hyper Rare from Paldean Fates, an English Scarlet and Violet era special set. With a card number that runs past the printed set total of 091, it belongs to the chase subset that sits beyond the regular numbering.
This is a Hyper Rare, which means the card comes in the Gold textured finish reserved for the top tier ex cards. Hyper Rares are the gold etched treatment of an ex, and they are among the scarcer pulls in their sets, which is why collectors prize them. Chien-Pao is one of the Treasures of Ruin from the Paldea region, a group of legendaries that has built a strong following since their introduction.
Paldean Fates was built around shiny and gold cards, and the Hyper Rare ex line sits at the top of that set. A gold Chien-Pao ex makes a strong centrepiece for a Treasures of Ruin or Paldean Fates collection.
