This is Charjabug 169/162, an Illustration Rare from Temporal Forces in the Scarlet and Violet era. Charjabug is the box shaped middle evolution in the Grubbin line first seen in the Alola region, and this card showcases it in a detailed illustrated scene.
Illustration Rares are one of the most collected card types in the modern era. They move away from the plain stat focused layout and instead present the Pokemon in a full artwork scene set within its natural surroundings, often with extra characters or background detail. With the number 169 sitting above the set total of 162, this Charjabug is one of the cards printed beyond the main checklist, placing it among the bonus rares of Temporal Forces. Collectors are drawn to these cards for the storytelling in the artwork rather than the play value.
Charjabug has a charming, easily recognised design, so its Illustration Rare appeals to art focused collectors as well as those completing the Temporal Forces set.
