Ampharos GX comes from Team Up, a Sun and Moon era set remembered for introducing Tag Team cards alongside a strong run of GX Pokemon. Ampharos is the final evolution of the Mareep line from the Johto region, a long standing fan favourite that has appeared across many sets over the years.

This is the 185/181 print, and because the first number is higher than the set total of 181, it is a secret rare. It carries the Rainbow finish, the colourful textured treatment reserved for the secret rare slots at the very end of a set. The GX mechanic gives the card a single powerful GX attack that can only be used once per game, alongside high HP and strong regular attacks.
