About Wild Force (Japanese)

Wild Force is a Scarlet and Violet era Japanese set that landed in late 2023, sitting alongside Cyber Judge as one of the dual releases that introduced the Ancient regulation mark. The set leans into the Paradox Pokemon storyline, with a roster of prehistoric and futuristic forms taking centre stage. For collectors building a Scarlet and Violet block run in Japanese, Wild Force is one of the more compact sets to chase, which makes set completion realistic without months of hunting.

Cards and rarity tiers

Our Wild Force inventory currently centres on the Double Rare EX cards from the set. You will find Walking Wake EX 024/071 (JP) and Gouging Fire EX 012/071 (JP), the two Paradox legendaries that headline the set, alongside Wugtrio EX 025/071 (JP) for trainers building Water decks. Beyond the Double Rare EX tier, the Japanese print run also produced Art Rare (AR) and Special Art Rare (SAR) treatments, plus Ultra Rare full art trainers. Several of these alternate art cards never received an English equivalent, which is part of why collectors choose to organise their binders around the Japanese versions.

Why Japanese prints

Japanese Pokemon cards are produced to a noticeably tighter standard than English prints. Centring tends to be cleaner, the card stock carries a glossier finish, and the colour saturation on holo patterns is stronger straight from the pack. If you grade, Japanese cards often present better at the gem mint level.
