Collection: Super Rare

About this collection

What Super Rare Means in the Japanese Pokemon TCG

Super Rare (often shortened to SR) is a Japanese-print rarity tier that sits above the standard holo and double rare slots. It typically covers full art Pokemon ex cards, full art Trainer cards, and high-pull V cards from Japanese sets, with print runs that are noticeably tighter than their English counterparts. Because Japanese sets often release ahead of the English equivalents, many SR pulls also appear here as SAR or AR variants that simply do not exist in the English run.

Cards You'll Find in This Collection

This collection brings together 31 Super Rare cards drawn from sets like Inferno X, Mega Brave, Snow Hazard, and The Glory of Team Rocket. Trainer chase pieces such as N's PP Up 214/193 (JP), Cafe Master 271/184 (JP), and Team Rocket's Transceiver 217/193 (JP) sit alongside Pokemon ex full arts including Mismagius EX 097/080 (JP), Squawkabilly EX 089/071 (JP), and Copperajah EX 088/071 (JP). You'll also recognise heavy hitters like Mega Charizard X EX, Pecharunt EX, and Team Rocket's Moltres EX rounding out the lineup.

Why Collectors Favour Japanese Prints

Japanese cards are widely regarded as the centring benchmark of the hobby. The card stock is glossier, the holo patterns sit cleaner under the foil, and edge whitening tends to be far less common straight out of the pack. For collectors organising binders or chasing graded pop reports, Japanese SRs are a reliable choice.

Every card listed here is mint or better, sleeved and toploadered before it leaves the bench. We ship Australia-wide with tracking from our Brisbane base, usually the next business day after your order is placed.
