Collection: Shining Fates

Shining Fates is a 2021 Sword and Shield era special set built around one central idea: bringing back Shiny Pokemon in a dedicated subset called the Shiny Vault. The main set numbers run to 072, but the real draw for collectors sits in the SV slots, where alternate colour variants of familiar Galar region Pokemon appear as Shiny Holo Rares and Baby Shinies. For many collectors, this set marked the return to chasing shinies in a focused, set-wide way, and it remains one of the most pulled and traded English releases of the era.

Cards to look for

From the main set, Crobat VMAX 045/072 and Cinderace V 018/072 are popular pulls, while Kyogre 021/072 and Yveltal 046/072 round out the holo lineup that collectors tend to organise first. Inside the Shiny Vault, names like Dottler SV008/SV122, Drizzile SV026/SV122 and Toxtricity V SV112/SV122 are the cards most shoppers come here to find.

Rarity tiers in this set

The base set follows the standard Sword and Shield structure: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Holo Rare, Reverse Holo, plus Pokemon V, VMAX and Full Art Trainers. The Shiny Vault subset adds its own ladder, with Baby Shinies (Shiny Holo Rare) at the entry point, then Shiny V, Shiny Full Art V and Shiny VMAX sitting at the top as the headline chases.
